Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Relay ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all users including free, paid, and enterprise accounts.
2. Description of Service
Relay is a collaborative AI workspace that allows users to save, organize, synthesize, and share outputs from AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity. The Service includes a web application and API integrations (such as connecting an MCP-compatible AI assistant or Google Drive). Features vary by subscription plan.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use Relay. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Relay.
4. Subscription and Payments
Relay offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis, contact jake@relay-work.com within 7 days of a charge for refund requests. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.
5. Plan Limits
Each plan includes a monthly synthesis allowance and a project limit, listed on our pricing page at relay-work.com/pricing. When an account reaches its monthly synthesis limit, new syntheses pause until the allowance resets at the start of the next month, or until the account upgrades or buys a top-up pack. Your saved work stays accessible, and capture, review, and editing keep working. Fair use: each plan also has a monthly usage allowance based on how much content your syntheses process. Very large inputs can use up a month’s allowance before you reach your plan’s synthesis count, and top-up packs do not extend it. If that happens, synthesis pauses until the start of next month, or until you move to a higher plan. A single synthesis that is too large for your plan is refused, and you can try again with fewer or shorter items.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Relay to store, share, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service. You agree not to use the Service for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted by these Terms. You agree not to reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
7. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you save to Relay. By using the Service, you grant Relay a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you save, including ensuring you have the right to save and share AI-generated outputs in accordance with the terms of the AI providers you use.
8. Intellectual Property
Relay and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Relay and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our explicit written permission.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may cancel your account at any time by contacting jake@relay-work.com. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We may retain certain data as required by law.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content on the Service.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Relay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Tarrant County, Texas.
